My love affair with papillons started in 1998 when I saw my first papillon. I thought it was the cutest dog in the world and begged my Gram and Mom to get me one. Of course they said no. Fast forward to 2001 we got our first Papillon pet, Toffee. Then again in 2007, I got my second papillon, Kira. And it began…
I had worked with my mentor, Theresa Miller of Ramblewood English Springer Spaniels since 2001 and she taught me a lot about breeding dogs, welping litters and conformation showing and grooming.
Kira did not turn out to be show quality but she is the number one owner of my heart. She is my soul dog and the reason that Tristanne Papillons ever began…
In January, 2009, after doing years of research on the breed and various pedigrees, I got my first show papillon American/Canadian Champion Krystal Just Fer Laffs (call name: Justin) from Karen Murad of Krystal Papillons. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Karen for trusting us with this great boy! He is a striking Classic Tri with fantastic fringe. Justin finished his Canadian Championship in 5 straight shows in a two-day period!!! We were so proud! Justin also finished his American (AKC) Championship with 5 straight MAJORS!!! Justin does everything in style and he went out with a bang at the Toy Dog Club of Puget Sound Specialty with another 3-point major!!!
Next, I imported a stunning bitch, Xandrine vom Schwabenhof (call name: Xandi) from Marlies and Yvonne Weber of Papillon Kennel Vom Schwabenhof in Germany. Thank you so much to the Weber’s for putting their trust in us!!! She is a gorgeous hound-tri with a pedigree to die for. Xandi unfortunately developed a very slight bite problem and cannot be shown, but we are confident that she will produce us some wonderful puppies. She has many qualities that we hold dear including flawless movement, silky, correct coat, heavy fringes, a ruler-straight topline and delicate bone structure. We look forward to her upcoming litters.
My newest import is Nightfire vom Salamandertal (call name: Maui) from Regina Keller of Papillons vom Salamandertal of Germany. Thank you Regina!!! He is a striking red sable boy with another fantastic pedigree. Maui has just started his show career and we are having a blast working our way to his AKC Championship!
Recently, I purchased a bitch from Ashley Grissom to co-own with my friend, Karen Murad of Krystal Papillons. Her name is Mirage Magical Attraction (call name: Magic). She is a lovely classic tri dripping in coat with flawless movement! Look for Magic's page coming soon!

Tristanne Papillons, located in the western part of Washington state, is dedicated to only breeding the most intelligent, correct, beautiful and healthy papillons. We breed to show in AKC and CKC conformation mainly. However, our dogs would also be great in agility, obedience and rally. All of our dogs are raised in the house with us and are very socialized and happy! They are first and foremost a part of our family and we take great consideration when placing dogs and puppies into new homes.
